真空密封

Apiezon Wax W在 20°C 時、低至 10-9 托的真空系統（依蠟而定）及小正壓系統內同樣具有很發了的密封效果。本品防水效果好，對水蒸汽及大氣中的水分也具有很好的密封效果。對于薄膜沉積等各種使用極為重要。揮發物不會破壞系統內真空或污染薄膜沉積。

防腐蝕

Apiezon Wax蠟可用于制造硅晶體管及集成電路。本品具有化學惰性，可防止以下腐蝕液體的侵蝕：氫氟酸、硝酸、醋酸、氫氧化鉀、四甲基氫氧化銨、乙二胺、氫氧化鈉

Apiezon 蠟作為印刷電路的防護鍍層用途廣泛，可保護銅電路不受酸侵氧化，通過蠟，人能夠進行直接焊接。

固封劑

Apiezon Wax蠟是一種固封劑，可作為暫時與**型粘合劑廣泛用于固封硅片。

“吸氣”作用

Apiezon Wax蠟與潤滑脂一樣，也是由含有高比例支鏈烴與不飽和碳氫化合物的特殊原料制作而成。這些復雜結構使得Apiezon蠟具有很高的分子量，因此具有強吸附性，尤其對其它烴分子。強吸收性使得Apiezon 蠟具有很強的吸氣作用。如，吸附金屬及玻璃表面的油脂及化學雜質。Apiezon 蠟不會污染電子設備，使用烴溶劑溶劑即可輕松去除，可清除單憑溶劑所無法清理掉的多種微量雜質，這在對金屬表面清潔程度要求很高的電子業中有著重要作用。

使用方法

用玻璃棒、抹刀或其它類似工具取預熔蠟涂抹于效果區域，注意不要超過對面表格中蠟的熔點 60°C以上。用前，可將蠟溶于烴溶劑劑，溶液蒸發后會留有一薄層具有粘著性的蠟體。為確保粘膠層等厚，可迅速旋轉芯片，形成固封面。

便于清理

用后僅需加熱、軟化即可擦去大量蠟體。如有沉積物可用任何芳香烴溶液（甲苯、二甲苯）溶解掉，或者使用蒸汽脫脂浴去除。由于Apiezon蠟不溶于酒精（乙醇、異丙醇）或酮類（丙酮、丁酮），因此不能使用該類物質進行清理。

在多數情況下，Apiezon蠟 W 型是優選，它可以在很大的溫度范圍內提供有效的接口密封效果，能有效地防止酸堿侵蝕，具有zui低蒸汽壓力，以及有效的防水效果。W 型蠟也有棒型，使用迅速、方便。用焊接小噴燈或 Bunsen 燈對一蠟棒加熱后即可對涂抹點進行操作。

Apiezon系列根據特別工作需要，提供三款性能不同的蠟。除了 W 型，還有另外兩款型號。W100 型是一款中等硬度、真空密封及固封蠟，比 W 型質軟，因此可減少玻璃接頭因振動破裂的風險。W40 型在所有Apiezon蠟中質地很軟，軟化點僅為 40°C 至 50°C，可在熱水中應用于熱敏接頭。

When should I use Apiezon Wax W waxes?

Apiezon Wax W is the first choice wax for most situations, offering efficient joint sealing over the widest temperature range, the most resistance to attack by acids and alkalis, the lowest vapour pressures, the most resistance to water and, for such a versatile wax, surprisingly the lowest cost when presented in the 1kg block.

Wax W is also available in stick form offering fast and convenient application. A single stick can simply be heated at the site of application with a small blow torch or Bunsen burner.

The Apiezon range offers the choice of three waxes with differing properties depending on the specific requirements of the job in hand. In addition to Wax W, two other formulations are available.

Apiezon Wax W100 is a medium hardness vacuum sealing and mounting wax. It is inherently softer than Wax W, thus reducing the risk of cracking glass joints if they are subject to vibration.

Apiezon Wax W40 is the softest of all the Apiezon waxes. With a softening point of just 40 to 50°C, it can be prepared for use in hot water for application to heat sensitive joints.
